If you’re planning a wedding, you are probably already realizing just how much goes into a wedding, from the dozens of wedding vendors to the literally hundreds of tiny details that go into making your wedding what you’ve always dreamed it would be. It can be overwhelming for anyone, which is why a wedding planning timeline is such a handy tool for brides to have and to use.  We’ve all seen timelines at some time in our lives, usually a history class that takes a straight line meant to represent a certain period of time, and then make dashes in sequential order as to what was during that time period. It’s not so different with a wedding planning timeline. You have only a particular amount of time to plan your wedding, and there are many different tasks that need to be done in that time. That’s why a wedding planning timeline can be just perfect for brides so that they don’t forget anything for their big day.

My Wedding Planning Timeline

Just thinking back to when my husband and I were planning my wedding brings back fond memories, memories of being so excited to start our new life together as well as anxiety over making sure that all of our wedding plans were being done on time. Without any family nearby, I was planning my wedding all by myself and was stressed quite a bit. But then, I found a wedding planning timeline online that I downloaded and stuck pretty close to for the remainder of my wedding planning. The wedding planning timeline that I had included tasks that need to be done seven to nine months before the wedding, five months before the wedding, one month before, and even had great lists for the day before the wedding and the day of. I can’t even think about what kind of stress I would have had if I didn’t have that wedding planning timeline to help me out.

Where to Find a Wedding Planning Timeline

There are lots of great places where you can find a good, quality wedding planning timeline that can help you out in your own wedding. You can find free ones online from a wedding website that you trust, or in a bookstore for something that you can carry around with you. Whatever kind of wedding planning timeline that you choose to use, make sure that it will work for your wedding and the types of things that you want for your wedding.  Always remember that not all wedding planning timelines are created equal, and you need to find one that works with your particular wedding so read through them carefully before committing to one.

One of the top pieces of advice that I give to my friends and family when they are planning a wedding is to find a good wedding planning timeline, and now I pass that on to you. Don’t let yourself get so stressed out that you don’t enjoy planning your wedding, that you look back on that time of your life and shiver from the horror of it all. A wedding planning timeline can help you save your sanity and be relaxed on your wedding day, knowing that you didn’t forget anything.
